About the studio
The name is a promise.
Turris Fortis — Latin for strong tower — is a games and interactive media studio operating under Kelley Clan Holdings LLC in Sterling, Virginia. It exists to build things that hold: games with real structure underneath them, worlds worth returning to, and a body of work that compounds instead of scattering.
The studio takes its name from a family motto, Turris Fortis Mihi Deus — “the Lord is a strong tower to me.” It’s a line about standing on something that doesn’t move, and it shapes how the work is made: foundations first, then walls, then the parts people see.
This is a builder’s studio, not a factory. One hand runs from concept to code to release, which means every title is opinionated and nothing ships that hasn’t earned it. The goal isn’t volume. It’s a catalogue where each release starts further up the tower than the last.
How we build
Principles that don’t move.
Foundations before finish
The systems get locked before the surface. If the core loop isn’t right, no amount of polish will save it — so the core comes first.
Finished beats perfect
A released title teaches more than a flawless prototype. We build to a real floor, then we put it in players’ hands.
Control the whole stack
Design, code, and release stay in-house. Independence is the strong tower everything else stands on.
